Pictures

Life has been busy. Kids have been sick. Hospital bills have been overwhelming. Insurance companies have been jerks. First day in 8 that Misha hasn't had an extremely high fever (104.) Lots going on. Don't feel like talking. Here are some pics. Pray for us.

3 months FREE

Has it really been 3 months already??

Has it really only been 3 months??

Lets see what I can tell you about the boys. Judah is smiling and starting to communicate more using sign. He knows where his eyes, nose, mouth, ears and head are. His leg is still broke. He is still in a wheelchair and is not gaining any weight yet. We give him 1500 cals a day in just liquid and then he has puréed food on top of that. So over 2000 cals a day with no real activity he should be gaining weight.

Hematology finally saw us. The doctor was very nice. She too has adopted, a girl from China. Judah had to have a 4000.00 blood test done. Ouch! I think I may be paying off hospital bills until a few years after I'm dead! If that comes back negative they have to do an even more expensive test. It is important to know why he bruises and bleeds so easily. He is not allowed to have his dental surgery until we have answers. That is too dangerous. Judah has had a snotty nose the last few days and just wiping it makes his nose and face bleed. :(

Judah had occupational therapy eval done and is functioning in that area on a 14 month old level. So severely delayed. That's ok. He's super smart and given the opportunity we know he will excel.

Since he is drinking we have put off the gtube surgery. If anything changes or the doctors feel it is urgent we will do it immediately.

Misha had surgery. I don't think I ever posted about that. He had undistended testes. The cancer risk goes up and up until the testes are brought down. This surgery should have been done years ago. He was in a lot of pain, but praise God he woke up fine. No destatting or difficulty breathing or strider. The dr did say that he won't ever really go under well due to his very very small airway. He was cut 5 times. Once at the belly button, one cut on each hip and two cuts on the scrotum. Ouch! Now we have to wait and watch to see if they will be ok or need removed due to a cancer risk. Sigh.

Misha is rocking 12 month clothes. He is talking all the time! He has about 50 words. He is starting to say the kids names too. He is an absolute joy and light in our lives. His cuteness is overwhelming. I can see why people in Bulgaria were smitten. He has that trait or gift about him. Everyone who meets him falls in love. He is Cupid, lol!! But seriously, the boy rocks!

He was tested in occupational therapy and was put at the age of 14 months. I figured he was about where his size was. We were at the park the other day and he was standing next to an 15 month old little girl and they were the same size.

So what does 3 months free look like? It looks like playing outside in puddles and rain.

Hugs and kisses from mom, dad and big sisters.

Getting into trouble with brother.

Drinking and eating as much as you want.
Playing outside.

Sliding down a slide and swinging on tire swings

Watching Christmas movies cuddled on the couch with dad and mom.

Crying and hurting and having a mama to hold you and give you medicine.

Having several pairs of your very own shoes that no one wears but you.

Only sleeping in a crib or bed and not staying in one all day long.

Dancing and singing with arms raised to Jesus.

Hearing "I love you" over and over again.

Smiling.

Freedom.

Judah update

I finally have a minute to sit and write. I don't even know where I left off.

Judah broke his fibula and tibula while at the doctors office. He was getting off the doctors table. I had my hand on his back. He was almost reaching the stool but fell. It was about a foot at most he fell. He showed no signs of being in pain or anything. We found out from the X-ray it was broke and his bones look horrible from malnutrition and neglect. Most likely osteoporosis.

He has an orange cast and we had to buy a wheelchair. 4000.00!!! Our part was 1200.00 you would think its really cool for that price but nope. Just a regular chair.

Judah is doing very well with drinking. He is drinking pedisure and we just found out that insurance won't pay for it. If he had a gtube they would have to. But we are trying at all cost to avoid the gtube yet they won't cover it. He is suppose to have at least two a day but he was losing more weight so I give him as much as he wants. He loves it! I figured out he is getting like 1500 calories in drinks a day plus he eats some food on top of that. We had a very good friend bring us by peptiman jr formula and that has helped. I am going to call the insurance company and see what we can do.

We still have no COC so we can't apply for Medicaid buy in program. That would help us get therapy. Although they were just proved for OT. The problem with our insurance is they only allow 20 visits per year. And that is of all therapies together not separate. They need way more than that per therapy let alone combined.

He is smiling and laughing more and he can sign a few words and also is learning body parts. Still only pees at night which is frustrating but all in all he is doing amazing right now.

Well this took all day to write with hours in between paragraphs so now it's time for bed. Nite!

Be blessed

He got those from his closet during nap and tied them all over his bed! He also took his sheet off. Grabbed a book and a charger cord. How we have no idea!
