Well today was the day I gave God until to tell me about my son. Bold I know. At 11am we got the call. Now we have his birth date with is July 13th(the day before my mother in-law's birthday). The date they plan to have the file back to us for us to read and say yes to is July 26th. We will see(I hear another bold prayer coming!). We may have to go to Houston to read the file and our caseworker says if that is the case then when asked she or I will say we will come read the file but we will start pre placement visits the very next day. That way we arent in Houston just to read a file. Apparently after the file is done things should be boom boom boom.
She was very nice. I was worried because someone had said I could jeopardize things by reaching out and requesting information. I think that was just satan trying to get me to doubt how big our God is. God gave us Micah we know that for sure. I told the woman I didnt mean any disrespect. "She said absolutely not! We love it when we choose a family for a child and they are proactive." She said she thinks its an awesome idea to sleep with some stuffed animals and send them to him. Also I told her a friend told me to take a picture of his bed and room and bedding then send the bedding and the picture to him so that he could sleep with it now and bring it with him to his new house. I hope to do that too.
All in all I just can't believe that we found out the things I prayed we would find out. I shouldnt be shocked. God loves us and wants the best for us and wants to please us. Yesterday when I was crying and heard that still small voice say this could be the prayer that tips the bowl. I knew breakthrough was coming. I also had this feeling that Micah's birthday was coming up and was afraid I would miss it. I guess a mama really does know :)
So my next bold prayer is to get that file sooner than expected. I would love to have him home for his birthday, but just knowing his birthday and knowing its all ok and hearing someone talk to me about him that is enough for me. That was more than I hoped for. Thank you all for praying for us!
Luke 18
New International Version (NIV)
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Be blessed
